Harpers Ferry is located in West Virginia along the Potomac and Shenandoah rivers. Great little place to hang out with friends on a warm summers day. My friend and I take her dog down there so that he can play in the river and we can get a chance to explore this little historic town. Harpers Ferry is one of my favortie place to spend an afternoon and evening.
One of the best things to do in Harpers Ferry is to take a stroll around the town seeing the different historical places like the Cotton Mill, and also to learn more about John Brown's Raid. Then take a late lunch or an early dinner at one of the many resturants downtown. Then finally take a walk down to where some of the best ice cream is served and lounge by the river to say goodbye to the day.
This is just one of the many ways that I like to spend my time in Harpers Ferry. There are so many places to go and explore that not everything can be seen in one day. That means coming back again and again to find new things.
