Being an intern at River and Trail has afforded me a good number of benifits. One being that I get to see many of the different trips that are offered, one of the more recent ones was biking on the C&O canal. Even with it being warmer this time of year it was a great time.
As we biked along from Brunswick to Harpers Ferry there were some terrific spots that you could sit at and just watch the tubers float by on the Potomac. As you finish at Harpers Ferry your treated to a view of Maryland Heights and if your lucky a train going through the tunnel.
After that bike ride who wouldn't want something cold and delicious to eat, so go check out the local ice cream shop, Scoops, who serve homade ice cream that you can enjoy down by the river.
There's really no better way to spend a Sunday afternoon with family and friends then taking a leisurly bike ride down the canal.
